Description:
Logic models, outcomes, indicators, targets, quantitative and qualitative data – these terms all refer to elements of learning and evaluation that help us decide, communicate, and track what we do, why we do it, and what is changing as a result. In this interactive workshop, we will define key elements of evaluation and evaluative thinking, discuss the value of an evaluative approach to your work, and explore how to build this into your organizational culture. Using real examples from nonprofits that have used data in strategic ways and applied a learning and evaluation lens to their efforts, we will share practical strategies and tips to make evaluative thinking feel relevant and feasible for program staff. You should leave the session with an understanding of key evaluation components and next steps to infuse more data-use and evaluative thinking into your organization.
