Effective succession planning prepares an organization for the departure of its executive director and other key staff and board leaders, and contributes to your organization’s sustainability and success. This session will allow you to better understand the components of succession planning, key roles of board and staff, and techniques for managing planned and unplanned departures in ways that strengthen your organizational capacity. You will also gain an overview of the core elements of CEO transition planning, and how strong succession planning contributes to successful CEO transitions.
