To help organizations respond to immediate challenges and disruptions due to the current environment, the Greater Hartford Gives Foundation’s Nonprofit Support Program is partnering with Fio Partners to offer Short-Term Strategic Advisory Support, a quick-response resource available to nonprofits navigating uncertainty. Support may include, but is not limited to:
- A brief assessment of organizational health and reflection session(s) with organizational leaders
- A board retreat focused on engagement and training
- Coaching support for organizational leaders
- An organizational scenario planning retreat with senior leadership
- Succession and transition plan development for organizations facing key personnel changes
- An introduction to strategic alliances for organizations considering integration or collaboration with other nonprofits
- A staff climate survey to evaluate staff culture and plan responses
Nonprofits interested in this offering must meet the following criteria:
- Have an emergent and specific organizational challenge they are committed to addressing within a 90-day period
- Are prepared to engage in inquiry and generative thinking to work towards a solution for the challenge
- Can commit 10-20 staff hours per month over a three-month period for information sharing and review, meetings and/or retreats and workshops
- Are willing and able to provide key organizational information to consultants to build understanding of the organization and its presenting issues
- Can identify an internal project lead who will work with the consultant to move the work forward
- Remain open to feedback and innovative solutions to challenging problems
- Are financially sustainable throughout the delivery of the project period
