This scholarship was established in 2016 through the estate planning of Seth Pomeroy Holcombe, who died in 2009 at 91, and Lucy Brace Eaton Holcombe, who was 91 when she died in 2016. The North Granby residents were animal lovers – particularly Morgan horses – and active in town government and local historical organizations.
