- Graduating seniors from any public or private high school located in the 29-town Greater Hartford region
- Planning to attend an accredited four-year liberal arts college
- Attending on a full-time basis
- Achieved academic success
- Involved with volunteer, community service, work, and/or extracurricular activities
- Demonstrated financial need
Harry and Mary Meyer established this fund in 2000 in memory of Harry’s mother, Mabel Meyer, and her friend, Alberta Kimball. By the example of her life-long love of learning, Mabel taught her children and her students the inestimable value of education and the enjoyment it provides throughout life. By her generosity, Alberta made it possible for Harry and other young people to achieve their educational goals. The Meyers hope this fund will make a similar difference in the lives of other students.
