Selection Criteria:
- Active members of Emanuel Lutheran Church, 311 Capitol Avenue, Hartford
- Graduating high school seniors, high school graduates, GED certified, adult learners, or current college students
- Planning to attend a two- or four-year college/university, or vocational/technical/trade school
- Pursuing an associate degree, bachelor's degree, license or certificate
- Attending on a full-time basis
- Involved with volunteer, community service, and/or extracurricular activities
- Demonstrated financial need
During their lives, Ernest and Laura Wignall prioritized their educational achievements, which included multiple degrees for both, and made higher education possible for others through scholarships. Through his estate planning, Mr. Wignall continues to help students achieve their dreams.
