This fund was established in 1998 in Dr. Sidney Rafal’s memory by his wife, Marjorie, and son, John. Dr. Rafal was a pioneer in the field of geriatric dentistry as a clinician, author, teacher, and editor. This memorial fund awards scholarships to students who are attending the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine, where Dr. Rafal taught many graduate-level courses.
