Volunteer Opportunities

The Windsor Locks Community Fund Committee is seeking new voices!

Applications to volunteer as a committee member are being accepted now! 

Requirements to Apply: 

  • Windsor Locks Resident 
  • Age 14 or Older
  • Agree to adhere to Foundation-wide policies and the Community Funds Handbook 

Candidates for elected office, elected officials, and their immediate family members may not serve on a committee.

Grant Awards

Through its 2025 grant cycle, the Windsor Locks Community Fund at Greater Hartford Gives proudly supported 10 organizations making a difference in the lives of Windsor residents.

The 2025 grants recommended for funding and awarded includes:

Aces High Robotics:  $4,916 To support Aces High program

American Parkinson Disease Association – Connecticut Chapter:  $5,000 To support the Parkinson’s Movement Cafe

Arts for Learning Connecticut:  $5,000 To support The Universal Language: Cultural Arts in Windsor Locks program

Generation Power CT:  $5,000 To support Emergency Energy and Utility Assistance for Windsor Locks residents

Posh Paint:  $5,000 To support the Music, Mindfulness & Masterpieces program for Windsor Locks residents

Special Olympics Connecticut, Inc.:  $2,500 To support the Windsor Locks local program

Town of Windsor Locks:  $5,000 To support the Outward Bound program

Traveling Toys Inc.:  $4,731 To support Windsor Lock’s Toy Lending Library

Windsor Locks Lions Charities, Inc.:  $1,400 To support the Lions Club Special Education Children’s Holiday Party

Windsor Locks Scouts BSA Troop 243:  $2,000 To support the Windsor Locks Senior Center – Patio Enhancements project
