Volunteer Opportunities
The Windsor Community Fund Committee is seeking new voices!
Applications to volunteer as a committee member are being accepted now!
Requirements to Apply:
- Windsor Resident
- Age 14 or Older
- Agree to adhere to Foundation-wide policies and the Community Funds Handbook
Candidates for elected office, elected officials, and their immediate family members may not serve on a committee.

Grant Awards
Through its 2025 grant cycle, the Windsor Community Fund at Greater Hartford Gives proudly supported 11 organizations making a difference in the lives of Windsor residents.
The 2025 grants recommended for funding and awarded includes:
Connecticut Cat Connection, Inc.: $1,000 To support From Streets to Safety: Enhancing Our Cat Rescue Capabilities
Connecticut Oral Health Initiative: $3,500 To support Healthy Smiles, Healthy Lives Windsor
First Town Downtown Inc.: $2,480 To support the Windsor Eco Monarch Festival 2025
Generation Power CT: $5,000 To support fuel and electricity grants to Windsor residents
Hartford Interval House, Inc.: $5,000 To support the Breaking the Cycle program for Windsor residents
Team Paragon Robotics, Inc.: $5,000 To purchase robotica equipment
WHS Project Graduation: $5,000 To support the 2025 safe graduation party
Windsor Art Center: $5,000 To support enhancing the Windsor Art Center to improve visitor experience
Windsor High School Band Boosters Inc.: $5,000 To purchase new instruments
Windsor Historical Society: $2,360 To support the Windsor 250 project
Windsor Junior Woman’s Club: $3,000 To support the Senior Diners

In past years, the Windsor Community Fund at Greater Hartford Gives supported the following organizations:
2024
WIN-TV ($5000) – to support their KIDVID summer workshop program
Journey 2 Free ($3650) – Podcast equipment, support group facilitator
WHS Project Graduation ($5000) – substance free celebration for th class of 2024 Windsor Special Olympics ($2500) – Assist in covering Registration fees, uniforms, equipment, bus & facility rental
Journey Writers ($2500) – To support costs for materials and venue for writing workshops
Northwest Park ($5000) – Support the purchase of a new Planetarium Dome
Windsor Junior Women’s Club ($2500) – Support their Senior Dinner Program
Windsor Human Relations Commission (WHRC) ($4500) – Annual Juneteenth Celebration
Interval House ($2500) – Support for assistance to Windsor victims of domestic violence
Team Paragon Robotics ($5000) – Support the purchase of robotics kits and software for 3 Windsor Robotics Teams
Operation Fuel ($2500) – Direct financial assistance for Windsor residents fuel bills
First Church Learning Center ($2000) – to purchase art materials and enhancements for classroom use.
2023
Hartford Interval House ($5,000) – to support victims of domestic violence.
Northwest Park ($2,800) – to support educational programming through the purchase of a new projector.
Windsor Giants Midget Football Team Inc. ($5,000) – to support the purchase of new helmets and pads to ensure safety for all participants.
