Volunteer Opportunities
The Marlborough Community Fund Committee is seeking new voices!
Applications to volunteer as a committee member are being accepted now!
Requirements to Apply:
- Marlborough Resident
- Age 14 or Older
- Agree to adhere to Foundation-wide policies and the Community Funds Handbook
Candidates for elected office, elected officials, and their immediate family members may not serve on a committee.

Grant Awards
Through its 2025 grant cycle, the Marlborough Community Fund at Greater Hartford Gives proudly supported 14 organizations making a difference in the lives of Marlborough residents.
The 2025 grants recommended for funding and awarded includes:
Andover, Hebron, Marlborough Youth Services, Inc.: $2,000 To support RHAM Project Graduation 2025
Coalition on Diversity & Equity, Inc.: $3,000 To support two multicultural performances at the Marlborough Elementary School
HAMR Softball, Inc.: $5,000 To purchase a new scoreboard for West Road Field
Hartford County 4-H Camp, Inc.: $1,240 To purchase safety equipment
Hebron Youth Baseball Association, Inc.: $3,025 To replace bleachers at 2 Marlborough fields
Junior Achievement of Southwest New England: $1,146 To support Marlborough students in the 2025-2026 school year program at RHAM High School
Marlborough Arts Center and Museum: $8,250 To support the 4th Fridays program
Marlborough Cooperative Nursery School: $2,000 To support playscape upgrades
Marlborough Lions Club: $5,000 To purchase a camera for the KidSight program
Marlborough Preservation Society: $4,100 To purchase a commemorative plaque to be installed in the cemetery
RHAM Youth Soccer Club: $1,750 To support equipment upgrade
Richmond Memorial Library Association, Inc.: $6,000 To expand adult programming
Roy B Pettengill Ambulance Association, Inc.: $3,650 To support continuing EMT education and to purchase equipment
Town of Marlborough: $5,858 To update furnishings at the Senior Center

In past years, the Marlborough Community Fund at Greater Hartford Gives supported the following organizations:
2024
AHM Youth and Family Services – $1,000 to replace books in the Here 4 You Library
Marlborough Arts Center – $4,600 for a sustainable Art Trail
Marlborough Education Association – $4,842 to make the Elementary School Library adaptive and inclusive
Marlborough Food Bank – $4,500 to establish a fund for a Fuel Bank
Hartford County 4H Camp – $4,000 towards building an Outdoor Pavilion
Marlborough Junior Ancient Fife & Drum Corps – $3,660 to upgrade uniforms
Marlborough Preservaton Society – $2,600 to purchase a monument commemorating the early black settlers
Richmond Memorial Library – $7,866 to replace computers used by the public
Marlborough Senior Housing (Florence Lord Building) – $6,000 to replace the fencing around the pond
Team Rham Special Olympics – $1,000 for transportation & other items
2021
Andover, Hebron, Marlborough Youth Services, Inc. ($3,127) – to support and broaden the CHOREs for Marlborough Seniors program
Hartford County 4-H Camp, Inc. ($5,000) – to support the landscape issue resolution project.
Marlborough Association for Senior Housing, Inc. (Sponsoring organization: Elderly Housing Management, Inc.,) ($9,211) – to support elevator and door upgrades at Florence S. Lord Senior Housing.
Marlborough Food Bank Inc. ($7,284) – to support the refrigerator and freezer replacement program.
Marlborough Historical Society ($750) – to support the cemetery walk and clean up.
Richmond Memorial Library Association, Inc. (5,475) – to support the purchase of guided learning tablets.
